Benji B is a unique DJ, known for his uncompromising choice of music and well known style. Skillfully mixing various genres, classic tunes and unreleased dubs. From Hip-hop, disco, dubstep, deep house to soul, he makes everybody dance at his parties.
Equally appreciated by fans, producers and DJs as a promoter of good and fresh underground sound, he goes from Kiss FM to BBC Radio 1, where initially he works as a producer. In 2002. on the BBC 1Xtra he gets his own show ”Deviation” that after seven years, his three-hour show gets a prestigious appointment, a year after getting their two hours on BBC Radio 1.
In addition to Benjis shows that feature inexhaustible source of new, unreleased music and information at first hand, Benji B has hosted and interviewed performers and producers such as Theo Parrish, Erykah Badu, Flying Lotus, Skream, Martyn, Q-Tip,Floating Points, Idris Elba, Moodyman, Waajeed, Kode 9, Zed Bias, Sa-Ra CreativePartners, Carl Craig, J-Rocc, Dego, Dam Funk, DJ Zinc, MJ Cole, and Photek, and many of them have appeared on his eponymous club night ”Deviation”.
